Pink Dot 2010 Update

Dearest friends, We would like to thank everyone who turned up last Saturday, the volunteers, donors, sponsors, venues and anyone else who supported Pink Dot 2010 tangibly or otherwise for making the event a resounding success.

The turnout of over 4,000 people has set the record for the largest gathering at Hong Lim Park since the government liberalised the use of Speakers' Corner in September 2008.

Visibility is important to show the world that LGBTs are supported by many in Singapore. Hopefully, this will decrease stigma over time.

The good fight is not over yet. Please continue to support LGBT affairs and create a better environment for everyone.

It was great that the event was deemed significant enough to merit video coverage by Channel News Asia

and a report in The Sunday Times.
